I have been a voracious reader since early childhood. I am 76 years old and super grateful for libraries.. I vote for people who support education for ALL PEOPLE.

Having a space to organize your thoughts and giving your words distance and endurance is very powerful. Sometimes I agree with the author and sometimes I don’t, but the act of reading provides access to perspectives not lived.

It is nice to hear your thoughts. Read deep and write more!

What a beautifully written piece by such a young girl. I’m so impressed with Asqa’s ability at 11 years old. She is a Supergirl! Her format and technique is very mature. I have no doubt Asqa will win one of those competitions very soon! Congratulations Asqa on putting God’s gift to you on paper, and being an inspiration for all children near and far.

“It’s like having a superpower that lets me explore the universe without leaving my room!”

I can relate to this feeling. Reading was always a door to another world for me too . I hope you will always feel this way.

It's so nice to see this. From age 14 to now, I have always written down my thoughts in journals and now in my blog and social media. Writing has always helped me process my thoughts and make sense of my experiences. Cheers to you!

I enjoy reading your stories. Your writings paint a vivid picture. Thanks for sharing the photo from March 2023 of young girls in Afghanistan being educated.

My grandfather bought me my first real book when I first began reading ("Heidi") and promised 5 year old me that he would send me a new book for every book I finished. The next book he sent me was "Swiss Family Robinson" (he came from Switzerland) and then the complete fairy tales of Grimm and Andersen.

None of these books were geared to a 5-6 year old reader but I read them anyway. Having an adult who nurtures a child's love of reading or other activities is such a gift.

Like you, I also wrote. I still have all my journals going back to when I was 17 or 18 (I'm 70 now). So much of what I wrote about were the sad or unhappy things in my life. I found that writing about what I was feeling helped me figure things out. Maybe it helps you, too?

Please keep reading and writing. You have a voice the world needs to hear.

It would be wonderful to read them all. Why don’t you publish them?

I love to read, too! It’s actually my best thing. Since you are interested in becoming an astronaut, you should try some science fiction stories. Your imagination can take you to space much sooner than your body can get there! My favorite stories for kids were by Robert Heinlein. He wrote a long time ago, and we know more about space and the planets than he did then, but they are still good, exciting stories.

Everything here about writing resonates with THIS writer, who is so different from the author, and yet has so much in common, as two writers would … More power to you, as you write on, read on, learn, and teach…

Thank you for this piece. You and many others suffer so much at the hand of the Taliban. I wish my fellow citizens know how good we have it and stop moaning about completely trivial things.
