Hi everyone!
Today was such an exciting day—it was my sister Taiba’s Her Craft’s very first event! The event was held at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Taiba’s school. Every year, they host a holiday cultural shopping experience, and this year, Taiba got to be a part of it!
She went with my parents, and together, they set up a beautiful table with www.hercraft.art and its QR Code all over the place! She put all her handmade products on the table and decorated them passionately. At first, it was quiet, but soon people started arriving. Some visitors asked why Taiba was doing this, and my brave sister answered them with so much confidence! 💪
The best part? Taiba raised $150 today! Isn’t that incredible? Even though some items didn’t sell, that’s okay—it’s all part of learning what people love most. Plus, the experience itself was so exciting and memorable!
Taiba and my mom wore stunning traditional Afghan dresses to celebrate our Afghan culture. They were colorful and vibrant, featuring black, red, green, and other beautiful shades—the black, red, and green represent the colors of the Afghan flag. They both looked amazing and made me so proud!
I’m so proud of Taiba for staying strong and positive, even when not everyone showed interest in her products. That makes her so inspiring—she keeps going no matter what. I can already imagine her 100th event because this is just the beginning of something amazing!
The best news? She was interviewed for a local Arlington paper today. I will share the news once it comes out! Another big news is that she has another event tomorrow, and I hope to join her this time. We’re all working super hard to keep these handmade treasures clean and safe for everyone.
A huge thank-you to everyone for supporting us. Your kindness and encouragement inspire us—and so many Afghan girls—to keep dreaming big and never give up. 💕
Have a wonderful day, and remember to go order a treasure from www.hercraft.art. Your support can make a huge difference!
Love,
Aqsa 🌟
