Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently made headlines again, not for his physical fitness pursuits but for delivering a speech on topics he seems to lack knowledge of, as is often the case with this administration. Despite this, he proceeded to make a significant address on the dangers of autism (cue Refer Madness).

Unfortunately, for the rest of the neuro-divergent world, RFK Jr. has his little pet theory on autism, and he's scared that---gasp--there might be more autistic people! Just listen to this garbled mess of a segment of his speech.
First, what in the good fuck is this guy saying? He sounds like he inhaled a pack of Marlboro Reds after another excellent session in the tanning salon. Is this English, or is someone impersonating him?
Second, what is inherently wrong with more autistic kids? Is RFK Jr asserting that he doesn't think my Princess General can get a job, go on dates, and live an everyday life? GTFO. At the tender age of 4, she's shown more humanity and independent thinking than this guy has in his entire miserable anti-semitic life.
Third, I'm neurodivergent. Like my little girl, I'm an Aspei. While I didn't kill Bin Laden, some would say I've had a successful life thus far. Why exactly shouldn't America's parents want their children to be an Aspei like me? I know RFK Jr. didn't serve (no free tanning salons on base, bruh), but it seems to be a very well-thought-of profession.
Sure, it's scary when you find out that your child is neurodivergent. I admit the news saddened me. However, it's also a gift that, when properly utilized/honed, can yield such wonderful gifts for all of humanity.

So, again, why should parents be scared if their kids are autistic? Would they rather their kids grow up to be like RFK JR -- a sad, pathetic, overly tanned man whose own family didn’t vote for him? Is this what we want from our children?
My little Princess General can be whomever the hell she wants, moron. And you and your merry band of grifters can inject tanning oil into your veins, and it still won't change one fact: she's smarter than you, and that's what's driving this.
People often fear the unknown. They fear their children will become like Rain Man or something, which doesn't usually happen. Still, by portraying all neurodivergent kids as some helpless mammals who need the tender loving care of a steroid addict, RFK Jr. insulted millions of neurodivergent families, mine very much included.
While many of Trump's choices boggle the mind, this particular choice will be felt across the country and even globally. While I never got into the whole Faucci storyline, is RFK Jr. really the antidote to someone who made egregious errors in a once-in-a-century pandemic? Let's all cross our fingers and hope we don't get another outbreak, because this guy will likely only send out his workout regimen (Chest every day, bruh) and some new vitamins that prevent all viruses from spreading!
In short, RFK Jr. and many elements of the Trump administration are simply grifters. Still, those political appointees are usually placed in areas with as few responsibilities as possible, like the Ambassador to Micronesia (sweet gig, right?). Instead, we’re now faced with a conspiracy theorists running our healthcare system.

And for the link to accomplished fellow Americans with special gifts - the one man who profited off the 2008 financial crash had Asperger’s - he coukd invest time in analyzing patterns in data and found the point when it was possible to invest profitably. He didn’t know he had Asperger’s till his ssin was diagnosed with it and he recignized the same symptoms in himself.
