Howdy,

Phew. I’ve arrived.

I just woke up from a perfectly wonderful nap in the holiest of holies.

It was a long trip, but my Mom and I made it safely. We missed our connector at JFK by about 10 minutes. We both tried to sprint to the connecting flight. I had a ruck on my back and one on my stomach. By the time I reached the terminal, I was covered in sweat!

The plane was still on the tarmac, but we had missed the deadline for whatever reason—the story of my life.

Luckily, the Delta flight agent had mercy on us and put us on an El Al flight that left a few hours later. No harm. No foul.

I’m going to go for a nice long run around Jerusalem. It’s good to be with my people. I feel at home in Israel. This tribe understands me. They are part of my andiwalaan.

Tomorrow, I’ll do a longer piece about trauma and see the “Bring Them Home” signs at David Ben Guiron airport, but alas, I have to get some grub!

Don’t Be Like Paul

I don’t care who you are. I don’t care what somebody wrote on this website. You don’t talk to anyone like that on my team. Ever.

If you want to say that we should blame Trump more and stop hitting Biden, that’s fine. I won’t snap to attention and give you a salute, but I will happily banter with you.

Regardless, I take insults like this personally. Nobody acts like a pig on this website without a shotgun blast to the face.

Secretary of Defense Austin Should Resign

We had our second GCV Fire for Effect today, and it was a scorcher. Secretary Austin should resign immediately. His refusal to hold anyone accountable below him for one of the biggest disasters in American military history is dishonorable. I’m sure he’s a very fine family man who has served his country honorably. However, he volunteered for that position. Nobody made him do it, and his conduct since then has been abominable.
