Howdy,
I know you were worried about our little friend, Sirajuddin Haqqani. The last time we saw him, he was doing the Hajj. But, man, that was about twenty days ago. Where has he been?
A short recap:
Don’t worry, peeps, I have you covered. He just now got back to Afghanistan.
Who knows what Siraj was up to for nearly a month? Perhaps he got to see some beaches? Maybe he got to check out some American military bases in Saudi Arabia and others throughout the region? I am sure that someone told those Wing Commanders in Saudi Arabia and UAE that an AQ-affiliated terrorist who killed thousands of American soldiers was nearby.
This man murdered 2,000+ American soldiers. He murdered nearly 1,000 of our NATO allies. And most importantly, he murdered 70,000+ Afghan soldiers.
How can you ask America’s families to send their sons and daughters into harm’s way if you’re going to allow their murderers to walk freely alongside them?
What Happened to Surab Azimi?
We’ve had many meaningful conversations on our podcast, but this is one of the most important topics we’ve covered. I will discuss it in a new podcast that should be coming soon. In essence, why didn’t the United States provide air support to Surab Azimi, an ANASOC Commando married to an American citizen? Why didn’t her husband get that support?
PTSD Awareness Month
I wasn’t even aware that it was awareness month. But, hey, I’m all for it. Look, whether you call it PTSD, Shell Shock, Moral Injury, or you’re just fucked up, go get some help. And take a walk outside. Get a great workout in. And get some sleep!
But, also, remember that our Afghan allies are reeling from it, too. They deserve our support. My brother, Colonel Abdul Rahman Rahmani, wrote an excellent piece for the site.
Former ANDSF members in Afghanistan face a profound moral dilemma: continue to live under the threat of the Taliban or join their ranks. The Taliban's so-called amnesty has proven unreliable, with numerous reports of revenge killings against former security personnel. The UN has documented over 200 extrajudicial killings since the Taliban takeover. For those who remain in Afghanistan, the job market offers no viable opportunities. Many are coerced into joining the Taliban, where they are assigned degrading tasks such as cleaning toilets, maintaining prisons, and tending to the Taliban’s dogs. These tasks are culturally humiliating and degrade the veterans' sense of identity and dignity. The moral and existential crises they face are immense, as they are forced to reconcile their past service with their current degradation and threats.

Until Next Time
I remember years ago, Christiane Amanpour said her sources told her Osama Bin Laden was living in Pakistan. I figured if she reported it, it was true. Of course Pakistan denied it. It took many more years before the US flew in to Pakistan and killed him. Now here's this terrorist doing the social tour without any concerns.
You have every right to ask for answers to the tough questions. I am equally appalled that no others up the chain of command or asking these questions.
