I had to delete my essay on the Principles First conference because the Proud Boys, on consecutive days, disrupted the conference. I’m not surprised by any of this. Hardly. I wanted to stay at the event, but sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. I had multiple Afghan refugees working
& AAVA’s tables because we were a proud conference sponsor.Instead of getting more money to help our Afghan allies, we left the event. My Afghan allies have been through enough, and they don’t need to survive more terror threats.
