Echoes of Departures and Arrivals
A Poem about My Job at an International Airport in the US
The tears from the same human eyes one dropped in departure and the other in arrival, differ from the sky to land . One laughing for the adventure he will have One crying for the loved ones she leaves behind . One flying economy to win a bread One flying business to have enjoyment . One rolls big luggage by himself, searching for Skycap One has all his family by his side . One pays hundreds for overweight One struggling to pack precisely . One flying to leave stress One flying to go into it . One will visit his dreams One will visit his nightmares . One has a bouquet expecting his sweety One has a hug full of love, expecting his Rose . One coming with pride One coming with trauma
I'd wish I could write poetry in English this good, let alone in Pashto! Bravo, sir!
Please keep writing. This is beautiful.
