Everyone and their mother will tell you about Trump, Biden, and the arc of history.
Here’s my prediction: Trump will do some bad and some good things. He’ll talk a lot of shit but likely fail to back it up. He’ll “reform” the national security state, and some of it will be needed. What comes after may not be much better, or he might worsen things. NATO will likely need to adjust and start spending money on their militaries. I don’t like this move, but the American people have spoken.
Our economy will likely get stronger—not because of Trump, but because Biden deserves credit for stabilizing it. Yes, he spent way too much, exacerbating inflation, but he didn’t ignite the flame; it’s been burning as long as the world has been spinning.
When it comes to the Middle East, shit, who knows? He will make a lot of mistakes. He’ll probably kill more ISIS fighters, and maybe, if we’re lucky, he’ll take a different stance with Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Terrorism Inc.
To my Afghan brothers & sisters - There will be many voices claiming Trump will change everything for the better.
Here’s my advice: listen to anyone from the U.S. government with kindness and respect. Take their money, then fight your wars your way.
Don’t trust anyone from the US government. Ever.
Don’t forget—it was us who betrayed you. Not the other way around. The truth is undeniable: the American government, not its military, betrayed you and abandoned your families to a gender-apartheid regime.
Bottom Line: It’s not your fault.
