(GCV Note: One of the earliest articles I’ve ever written—;))
Howdy,
Buckle up, folks, I’m in a mood.
While everyone was navel-gazing over Trump’s guilty verdict, a senior Al Qaeda leader visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
You probably think it was some covert meeting, James Bond style.
Nah.
It was fucking in the open.
Do you know why Sirajuddin Haqqani went to the UAE? Because he’s Afghanistan’s Minister of Interior—and, thus, now a statesman. (He’s the man on the right, shaking hands).
In case you think I’m pulling your leg, here’s a link to the Taliban's announcement.
Here’s another picture of Sirajuddin Haqqani.
Hey, any American in the UAE, go get your fucking money!
This, my friends, is why thousands of American combat veterans are fucking furious. Why is this man breathing? Why is this man, who killed thousands of American soldiers, not to mention 70,000 Afghans, walking around without a care in the world?
And here’s the rub: nobody gives a shit. How many Americans know who Sirjauddin Haqqani is? 1%? If that?
Sirajuddin Haqqani is an Al Qaeda leader. Period. You can split hairs and say he’s the leader of the Rahbari Shura or the Haqqani Network. Some people would argue he’s really the winner of America’s humiliating retreat in Afghanistan.
Do you know what else he is?
He’s also a Pakistani ISI asset. Don’t believe me? Watch this video.
LOL.
Hello, everyone. Please wake up from your naps! We gave the Pakistanis billions of dollars, and they killed thousands of American soldiers in return!
It’s an amazing thing to lose a war and have most Americans completely ignorant of that fact.
Why did my friends lose their lives in Afghanistan? Why did the United States government train me to befriend hundreds of Afghans only to betray my friends on the battlefield?
Why are we giving the Taliban millions every week? The Taliban is flogging and raping men and women.
Days like today make me feel like such a dumbass. Look at this. These are the men who helped kill 3,000 Americans on 9-11. And nobody cares. What an idiot I was for caring so much.
Gee, I wonder why there’s a recruiting crisis. I wonder why military families don’t want their own family members to serve.
Which American leader will do the honorable thing and level with America’s combat veterans and their families? Does anyone have the stomach to speak the truth anymore?
Shameful.

Voices From the Field
Hey, we rolled out another new feature on GCV-F. BOOM! Expanding ops, people!
Remember the number one military strategy: MOAR! WE NEED MORE!
Here’s something I never heard a commander say in 20 years of service: “You know what? Actually, I don’t need more manpower or resources. We’re good!”
Anyway, where was I?
Oh yes, a new feature, Voices From the Field! Our first VFF (BOOM ACRONYM) writer, Ben Waterloo, is talking about ‘Life as a First Sergeant.’
We were both watching Afghanistan. The writing was on the wall, though we were both shocked at how quickly the collapse unfolded. I remember watching it on the internet and the news over the weekend, and I knew I’d have a Boss who was not Mission-Ready. I went in early Monday morning, 16 August, to check on him. I knew immediately that he was not okay. I knocked gently and said, “Hey, Sir, got a Minute? …Are YOU OK?”
He joked about “A Full Service First Sergeant” because I came there as First Sergeant to check on him, just like I would have done with a very young Airman in distress. I recommended that he take some leave, as he needed it. I also went to his boss and told him (also in my capacity as a First Servant (synonym for First Sergeant) that his subordinate commander would need some extra support, and he should be sent home because he was not “Mission Ready” today.
(I’m the Boss in question)
As always, thanks for reading, listening, and watching. We’re making daily improvements to bring you more content from people affected by war.
Because war is not an algebra problem, it’s not something you can “cure” with the perfect white paper crafted in some think tank by a bunch of people who’ve never seen it or tasted it.
War is a human endeavor. Before we start crafting policies about it, it’s past time we started understanding it as a phenomenon again.
Until Next Time
Thank you for continuing to shout the truth about Haqqani and ISI. MSM sure don’t care.
