A Message from Hamid
An Elite Afghan Soldier's Plea to His American Allies
(GCV Note: This is a new series only for Afghans trapped behind enemy lines. If you don’t believe these stories, then this place ain’t for you. I will not provide any more info on the authors unless authorized)

We, soldiers, military colleagues, and loyal children of this land, stood shoulder to shoulder with you. We risked our lives to make the dream of a safer, freer, and terror-free world a reality. We lost our dearest friends, brothers, and family members in the process—those who bravely stood against the darkness and terror.
Today, as the Taliban, the very group we fought against, once again rules our country, we live in the shadow of threat, fear, and oblivion to the world. Many of us are fleeing a slow death in the hidden corners of the country. While our former friends and comrades continue to live safely, we have become victims of our loyalty and commitment.
The world says Afghanistan is secure. But security built on terror, discrimination, oppression, and revenge is an affront to the true meaning of peace. Absolute security, freedom of thought, respect for the human person, and an end to the fear of torture and death for past beliefs or collaboration.
We have this simple question for the awakened conscience of the world: Is this how our sacrifice should be repaid? Are the promises we were given forgotten today?
We want you to hear our silenced voices and pay attention to the fate of the forgotten victims of this common war. We still believe in the values we fought for—freedom, justice, and human dignity.
Do not forget us.
Hamid served proudly in one of Afghanistan’s most elite units. He is a hero. And we have abandoned him to our children’s killers—shame on ALL OF US.
I can only repeat my previous post on this subject:
Powerful writing.
“Bone spurs” 🤡, The Felon, will never understand your experiences and those of your colleagues, or the necessity of showing ongoing support and loyalty to those who have put their lives on the line for the USA and are still suffering for it.
His treatment of Afghan allies now in exile is also completely unacceptable. Why is he so keen to reconcile with the Taliban? As with all Trump’s actions, “follow the money”.
His refusal to support those still in Afghanistan and negotiate for a way out for them is appalling. He should be putting his much-proclaimed (by himself) deal making skills in action for their benefit rather than for the enrichment of himself, his family and his political buddies and other oligarchs.
I found what I wrote when the last plane left
Afghanistan:
I remember
he waved them all away
said now I want focus
on my job
before all gone
all gone
